Chef de Produit – Pharmaceutical Marketing

About the role

The pharmaceutical company based in Dakar is looking for a Chef de Produit to lead the marketing and commercial strategy for its product portfolio. You will be responsible for implementing marketing plans that drive prescription, sales, visibility and appropriate use while respecting ethical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development and execution of product marketing strategies, including planning, budgeting and product development road‑maps.
• Design and launch marketing activities such as press relations, direct marketing, congresses, symposiums, product events and digital campaigns.
• Present promotional campaigns to medical information and sales teams.
• Manage and control the budget allocated to each product or product range.
• Create promotional materials in compliance with legal and regulatory constraints.
• Conduct market analyses and identify potential new product developments or packaging options.
• Train and inform medical information and sales teams.
• Select, validate and monitor suppliers or subcontractors through tendering and negotiation.
• Analyse communication results and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and medical professionals.
• Perform competitive intelligence on the market and rivals.

Required profile

• Medical, pharmacy or scientific background (Master’s level).
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational skills, rigor and proactive attitude.
• Innovative mindset with excellent writing and analytical abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools.
• Experience with market research and analysis platforms, specifically IQVIA.
