About the role
The County of Imperial is seeking a Community Health Nurse II to deliver nursing services, education, and health counseling to the public. Working under the direction of a supervisor, you will play a key role in disease prevention, treatment, and health promotion within the community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide nursing services, immunizations, screenings, and health education to community members.
- Identify, treat, prevent, and control illness and medical conditions.
- Conduct health counseling and educational activities related to public health programs.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with public health regulations.
Required profile
- Graduation from a recognized college with a diploma or degree as a Registered Nurse.
- At least one year of experience delivering nursing services.
- Valid Registered Nurse license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Valid California driver’s license (may be required for travel).
Required skills
- Proficiency in delivering community health nursing services.
- Ability to conduct health assessments and provide counseling.
