Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, and commercial accounts contacting Quipt Home Medical. The CSR handles inquiries, processes orders, resolves complaints, and ensures a smooth experience across phone, in‑person, and online channels.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls with a professional greeting, take detailed messages, and route callers appropriately.
• Greet and direct visitors, manage daily mail and fax distribution.
• Qualify orders by confirming diagnosis, insurance coverage, and financial responsibility.
• Enter orders and changes into the system promptly, generate work orders and physician prescriptions.
• Coordinate delivery or pickup times with patients and caregivers.
• Communicate orders to clinical specialists and delivery personnel.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints using problem‑solving techniques and follow‑up logs.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to handle sensitive health‑related information.
• Basic understanding of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient financial responsibilities.
