About the role

As a Medical Delegate for Nestlé in Dakar, you will join the Nutrition department to promote infant nutrition solutions and support exclusive breastfeeding. You will act as a scientific liaison, providing healthcare professionals with accurate information on Nestlé’s infant nutrition products and the risks of inappropriate breast‑milk substitutes.

Key responsibilities

• Educate healthcare professionals on the importance of exclusive and continued breastfeeding.
• Provide scientific and factual information on Nestlé infant nutrition products when breastfeeding is not possible.
• Recommend Nestlé infant nutrition products appropriately and responsibly.
• Develop long‑term, mutually beneficial relationships with healthcare professionals and medical decision‑makers.
• Maintain optimal territory coverage, including prospecting, competitive intelligence gathering, and sharing insights via MDMS/CRM tools.
• Ensure product availability, visibility, freshness, and pricing within the assigned territory.
• Create, implement, and execute the agreed territorial action plan within the allocated budget.

Required profile

• Scientific degree (biochemistry, chemistry, nutrition, etc.) or medical background – Bac+3 or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, sales or related fields.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in French; English knowledge is a plus.
• Valid category B driving licence and good driving practice.
• Organised, rigorous, and able to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MDMS (Medical Data Management System) tools.
• Experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
