Deputy Regional Advisor, Supply Chain – Central and West Africa

About the role

The Deputy Regional Advisor, Supply Chain supports Catholic Relief Services’ operations across Central and West Africa, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise to ensure agile, compliant, and efficient supply chain systems that enable high‑quality humanitarian programming.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing regional supply chain strategies, policies, standards, and tools that engage donors, partners, and governments.
• Provide technical input on supply chain components of proposals, including SCM plans, commodity calculators, and procurement plans.
• Collaborate with country teams to strengthen logistics, procurement, warehousing, and fleet management processes.
• Support deployment and optimal use of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) for planning, execution, and reporting.
• Review tender documents, RFPs, and contracts to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with climate‑action principles.
• Promote the use of performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and accountability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in supply chain management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, warehousing, and fleet operations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multi‑country teams and travel regularly to field locations.
• Commitment to stewardship, integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Oracle.
