Dryfold Worker – Hand Folding Specialist

About the role

The Folder is responsible for directing and managing hand‑folding of linen items as they exit the washer or ironer, ensuring they are properly folded, stacked and placed on carts for the next stage of processing.

Key responsibilities

• Remove linen from the previous process and determine the correct number of items per stack.
• Adjust carts to a comfortable waist level and fold items, placing them on the appropriate cart or table.
• Perform group folding for larger items, coordinating with a partner to make lengthwise folds and stack items in groups of three or five.
• Continuously fill carts in an organized manner while monitoring quality and safety standards.
• Observe and adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Plant Supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; additional formal education or training preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a service environment.
• Strong customer service, organization, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast‑paced setting and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack items for long periods.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 lb and push or pull carts weighing up to 100 lb.
