Education Officer (P-2) – 6‑month TA in Dakar

About the role

UNICEF Senegal is seeking an Education Officer (P‑2) on a six‑month temporary assignment to support programmes that improve girls’ education, inclusive education, assistive technology and the empowerment of vulnerable children and adolescents.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, planning and budgeting of education programmes aligned with UNICEF’s strategic priorities.
• Manage programme implementation, monitor progress and ensure delivery of results against targets.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams on gender‑transformative and disability‑inclusive approaches.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, WHO, ATscale, UNGEI and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation and capacity‑building activities within the Education Section.

Required profile

• University degree in education, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Fluency in French and English.
