Education Officer (P-2) – Temporary Assignment (6 months)

About the role

UNICEF Senegal is seeking an Education Officer (P-2) on a six‑month temporary appointment to support programmes that improve girls’ education, vocational training, inclusive education and empowerment of vulnerable children and adolescents.

Key responsibilities

• Support programme development and planning for girls’ education, inclusive education, assistive technology and empowerment initiatives.
• Manage programme implementation, monitoring and results delivery, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s results‑based management framework.
• Provide technical and operational support to field teams and partners.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, WHO, ATscale, UNGEI and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building activities.

Required profile

• University degree in education, psychology, sociology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in programme planning, management or research in education.
• Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, adolescent empowerment and inclusive education.
• Fluency in French and English.
