About the role

Join Wärtsilä as a Field Service Electrical & Automation Trainee and gain hands‑on experience maintaining and troubleshooting Wärtsilä equipment. You will work alongside experienced engineers on maintenance, overhaul and modernization projects.

Key responsibilities

Assist in electrical and automation maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of Wärtsilä equipment.
Participate in testing, verification and risk‑assessment activities after maintenance or upgrade work.
Observe customer‑facing service practices and technical communication.
Support continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
Team‑oriented mindset with a strong safety‑first attitude.
Commitment to follow Wärtsilä safety, permit‑to‑work and quality standards.

Required skills

Basic knowledge of electrical and automation systems.
Familiarity with engine control systems, UNIC systems and PLCs.
Understanding of sensors, instrumentation and automation interfaces.
