Finance Associate (Tier 0-2)

About the role

The Finance Associate supports the Global Shared Services Centre in delivering transparent and effective financial services across UNDP offices. The role focuses on implementing finance strategies, providing accounting support, managing cash operations, and fostering knowledge sharing within the finance unit.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and implement operational finance strategies, ensuring compliance with UN/UNDP rules, internal controls and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide accounting and administrative support, including invoice processing, ERP approvals, general ledger posting, and month‑end reporting.
• Manage cash and payments, perform bank reconciliations, and support partners with payment queries.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing by organizing finance training and documenting best practices.
