Finance Intern – Senegal Country Program

About the role
PATH Senegal is looking for a bilingual Finance Intern to support its Finance Operations team for a six‑month renewable assignment. The role offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit financial management, working closely with the Finance and Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Enter financial and accounting data into the Business World ERP system.
- Scan, archive, and manage FOFR documents.
- Assist with monthly cash inventory, bank transactions, and bank statement reconciliation.
- Process routine payments for office expenses, vendors, and taxes.
- Prepare monthly fuel cost allocations.
- Support audit activities and implement action plans.
- Serve as backup for the Finance Assistant and Mobile Money payment system.
- Clear employee and non‑employee advances and analyze receivables.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in an NGO or multinational environment.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using an ERP system.
Required skills
- Business World accounting software.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- General ERP system usage.
