Finance Manager – Senegal

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations for its Senegal country office. Based in Dakar, the incumbent will serve as the primary finance focal point for all programs, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and Mercy Corps’ internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial guidance to the Country Office for strategic decision‑making and portfolio expansion.
• Ensure all projects comply with donor rules, regulations, and Mercy Corps financial procedures.
• Prepare annual and proposal budgets, and implement budgeting and grant‑forecasting systems with program managers.
• Develop and maintain an operational cost‑allocation system for ongoing projects.
• Oversee country accounts, lead finance staff, and produce timely Expenditure vs. Budget (BVA) reports.
• Coordinate financial reporting and support compliance with grant and contract requirements.

Required profile

• Under the supervision of the Country Director and in close collaboration with the Regional Finance Director.
• Demonstrated experience managing finance functions for multi‑program NGOs or similar organizations.
• Strong capacity‑building skills to develop and mentor finance team members.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with program, operations, and senior leadership.
