Finance Specialist – Controllership

About the role

Join a leading global energy‑technology company as a Finance Specialist focused on Controllership. You will drive technical accounting compliance, strengthen internal controls, and simplify processes to deliver accurate financial reporting across West Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting and policy application for all cycles, including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, and intercompany.
• Interpret and apply Enterprise Standards, SOPs, and Process Maps to provide globally competitive financial services.
• Advise functional managers on accounting approaches, processes, and procedures.
• Lead medium‑sized projects and contribute to larger initiatives, typically spanning 3‑6 months.
• Own controllership metrics and ensure compliance with local statutory, Baker Hughes, and US GAAP policies.
• Collaborate with corporate functions to implement new accounting standards and address SOX/internal‑control deficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Business.
• Minimum 7 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in a Finance Controllership position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
