Graphic Design & Media Intern (Photography/Video)

About the role

The United Nations Information Centre in Dakar is seeking a motivated intern to support visual communication activities. The role involves creating and adapting graphic and multimedia content to promote UN messages, campaigns, and events.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in covering UN events, campaigns and activities through photography, video shooting and editing.
• Select, edit and organise visual content according to UN communication standards.
• Create infographics, social media visuals and basic graphic materials.
• Adapt visual content for digital platforms and social media.
• Produce and edit short videos.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed the final year of a bachelor’s degree, master’s or Ph.D. in Communication, Graphic Design, Multimedia or a related field.
• Fluency in French (required) and working knowledge of English.
• Demonstrated interest in photography, visual storytelling and digital communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience using Canva, CapCut, InShot, VN and MS Teams.
• Filming and camera operation skills.
• Video editing capabilities.
