Human Resources Associate

About the role

The Human Resources Associate will support the HR functions of the Regional Office, working under the guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner and in line with IOM’s regulations and procedures. This role contributes to the recruitment, onboarding and HR data management processes that enable IOM to deliver its migration‑related mandate.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of recruitment processes, including guidance to hiring managers, drafting and posting vacancy notices, screening applications, preparing interview protocols, administering written tests, participating in interview panels, drafting assessment forms, conducting reference checks and preparing job offers.
• Carry out pre‑employment activities such as preparing Entry on Duty documentation, collecting supporting documents, coordinating medical examinations, enrolling staff in insurance plans, supporting induction sessions and arranging security briefings.
• Maintain and update the organizational HR system, ensuring data consistency and accuracy, verifying eligibility for allowances and benefits, monitoring contractual situations, generating reports and processing personnel actions.

Required profile

• Works under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Business Partner.
• Provides support to HR functions in the Regional Office in line with IOM regulations and procedures.
