Intern - RH Dakar

About the role

This internship supports the Rural Development (RHD) team in Dakar by providing hands‑on experience in agriculture and agri‑business projects across West Africa. The intern will work on research, data analysis, and the development of sustainable business models while gaining exposure to the regional agricultural value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in project activities, trainings, and field visits.
• Conduct research, collect and analyse data related to agriculture and agri‑business.
• Assist in drafting reports, proposals, and innovative agri‑business models.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders while maintaining professional and ethical conduct.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

Required profile

• Graduated within the past 12 months with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree.
• Knowledge of the agriculture sector and agribusiness practices.
• Fluency in English; French and/or Portuguese are desirable.
• Strong interest in sustainable agricultural development and innovation.
