Legal Data Analyst – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Data Analyst to join our remote team. The role combines legal expertise with data analytics to turn contracts, case records and regulatory filings into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management and business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to uncover trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into recommendations for legal strategy, compliance programs and operational decisions.
• Develop and curate high‑quality training data, craft prompts and evaluate outputs for large language models used in legal workflows.
• Support regulatory compliance by interpreting emerging regulations and mapping them to internal processes.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools to visualise legal metrics.
• Lead automation initiatives that reduce manual legal work and operational risk.
• Implement data‑governance practices, including classification, retention and quality standards for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong understanding of litigation analytics, regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC) or contract analytics.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high‑quality results under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation.
• Prompt engineering and evaluation for large language models.
• Data‑governance concepts including classification and retention policies.
