About the role

The Fonds Intergénérationnel managed by FONSIS invests Senegal’s oil and gas revenues to build financial assets for future generations. Reporting to the FIG Executive Director, the Risk and Performance Manager will design and operate the fund’s portfolio‑risk and performance‑monitoring framework, covering investment risks, stress testing, return attribution and oversight of delegated managers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the fund’s risk framework, monitoring investment constraints, exposure limits and ESG considerations.
• Conduct market, credit, liquidity, operational and financial risk assessments, including sensitivity analyses, stress‑tests and scenario modelling.
• Measure and attribute portfolio performance by asset class, manager and strategy, supporting valuations and strategic allocation reviews.
• Evaluate delegated managers for mandate compliance and performance, recommending continuations or changes.
• Prepare risk and performance dashboards for executive management and governance bodies.

Required profile

• At least eight years of experience in risk management, asset management or performance analysis within an investment, sovereign, pension fund, asset manager, investment bank or international financial institution.
• Advanced degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Risk Management, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Financial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial‑risk methodologies, asset classes, instruments and ESG governance practices.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English with professional confidentiality.
