Marketing Operations Manager – Agri Sector (West Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to shape the visibility and merchandising strategy for our agricultural product portfolio across West Africa. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will drive brand awareness at the point of sale and create digital tools that connect smallholder farmers with our solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a global visibility and merchandising plan, managing resources, budget and timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing and communication teams to ensure consistent visual identity.
• Oversee external providers such as POS design agencies and display manufacturers.
• Develop and execute promotional programmes in partnership with distributors.
• Create cost‑effective digital tools (e.g., WhatsApp‑based solutions) to reach rural farmers.
• Lead and motivate internal merchandising teams and external agencies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Commercial Management, Distribution or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in marketing or sales with a strong retail focus.
• Deep understanding of consulting service providers and competitor merchandising strategies.
• Willingness to travel throughout West Africa and relocate if needed.
• Excellent negotiation, team‑leadership and cross‑functional communication abilities.
• Innovative, dynamic and customer‑oriented mindset.
