Medical Device UniQuality & Unidata Product Information Specialist

About the role

MSF International is recruiting a Medical Device UniQuality & Unidata Product Information Specialist on a permanent open-ended contract (100%), with a start date of 01.12.2026. The position is hybrid and based in the International Office, and the contract is issued by the MSF office of the applicant's country of residence at the time of application, or by another MSF office if no office exists there.

The role sits within the Coordination and Source of Product Information (SPINCO) function, which maintains a central source of trusted product information for medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs). It ensures that information on entities and quality review in UniQuality and the Medical Device Repository is complete, accurate and available for MSF stakeholders, and acts as the first point of contact for questions about rules or non-conformity of information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the roughly 1,300 medical device entities in UniQuality: create new entities on request of ESC QA referents and SPINCO data stewards, verify manufacturer documents in the MD Repository, approve entities for international purchase against public databases such as Eudamed, FDA and conformity assessment bodies, and update names and addresses from new supplier information.
• Manage the roughly 1,000 ISO certificates in the MD repository: search online sources such as manufacturer websites and accreditation body databases, and keep UniQuality and the MD Repository consistent.
• Develop a plan to introduce a data quality and reporting plan so that trust in the information is maintained.
• Contribute to the UniMed project, which links UniQuality to supply centre ERP systems, and to the Medical Device Repository, a SharePoint library for regulatory, quality and technical documents.
• Act as a key user of the NexSpin project, which will replace UniQuality and the MD repository with a new Product Information Management System in 2027, and provide input to the NexSpin team.

Required profile

• Reports to the SPINCO Product Information Specialists Coordinator, with a functional line to the Deputy Quality Assurance coordinator for Medical Devices.
• Closely coordinates with Data Owners in the International QA MD Coordination team and the European Supply Centres.
