Member Service Representative – Dakar

About the role

The United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) is seeking a Member Service Representative to join its Dakar office. In this role you will deliver prompt, courteous service to members, identify financial needs, and promote UNFCU’s product suite while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a memorable member experience at every interaction, answering telephone inquiries and preparing written responses.
• Assess members’ financial needs, refer them to appropriate products, and open new accounts or process loan applications.
• Investigate and resolve member account or loan issues, following up to ensure timely correction.
• Verify eligibility of prospective members and maintain confidentiality of all account information.
• Support office efficiency through clerical and reception duties as needed.
• Conduct member presentations and service calls within the assigned location and, when required, to out‑of‑station members.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, UNFCU’s Code of Ethics, and BSA/AML/OFAC policies, including reporting suspicious activity.
• Participate in UNFCU training programs and perform any additional tasks requested by management.

Required profile

• University degree.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Dakar and maintain high standards of confidentiality.
