Multimedia Communications Specialist – FAO West Africa

About the role

The FAO Subregional Office for West Africa is looking for a Communications Specialist (Multimedia) to create and manage high‑quality visual and digital content that supports FAO’s strategic priorities across the region. You will work closely with the Communications Expert, country offices and regional teams to ensure consistent, audience‑focused messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Develop graphic design, editorial layout, and audiovisual assets aligned with FAO corporate identity.
• Produce motion graphics, animations, web and digital designs, and data visualisations for reports, social media and web platforms.
• Manage thematic and country‑specific social media channels, coordinating script reviews and final clearances with Regional Communication Officers.
• Ensure all communication products comply with global FAO messages, terminology, standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with technical officers, Regional Communication Officers and the OCC to share key outputs via multilingual channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in graphic design, editorial layout and multimedia production.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear visual content for diverse audiences.
• Strong coordination skills to work with regional and country communication teams.
