Operations Officer – Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory

About the role

The Operations Officer will support Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (SIA) in delivering climate‑focused advisory services to IFC investment clients. Based in Dakar, the role contributes to the growth of IFC’s infrastructure investment portfolio, especially in energy, mining, transport and waste sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of advisory services on climate adaptation, resilience and decarbonisation for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate operational activities across SIA teams to ensure timely delivery of knowledge products and client support.
• Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, market analyses and client presentations.
• Monitor project progress, track deliverables and maintain documentation for internal and external reporting.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including public‑private partnerships and community outreach.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, environmental science, economics or a related field.
• Professional experience in the energy sector with demonstrated knowledge of climate adaptation, resilience and decarbonisation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and travel as needed.
