Operations Specialist (P-3) – Fixed-Term – Dakar

About the role

Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager, the Operations Specialist will provide technical support to strengthen operations, financial and administrative management across UNICEF West and Central Africa offices, focusing on fiduciary risk management and resource optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to WCA country offices on operations, finance and administration.
• Support implementation of regional and organisational improvement initiatives related to operations.
• Contribute to capability and capacity development activities.
• Act as the technical focal point for Senegal Common Services and the Cabo Verde Joint Office.
• Undertake any specific tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business management, finance, accounting, public finance or related field, or a recognised professional accounting designation (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CPFA) with active membership.
• Minimum five years of professional experience at the international level, preferably with UNICEF, in operations management areas such as budgeting, financial management, administrative management, risk and compliance.
• Strong understanding of corporate policies, procedures and internal control frameworks.
