Paid Journalism Internship – Editorial & Digital Content

About the role

ZED MEDIA GROUP is seeking a motivated journalism intern to join its editorial team in Dakar. You will support the production of interviews, reports, studio segments, and digital content, gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic audiovisual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in researching, writing, and editing news articles and feature stories.
• Participate in conducting interviews and gathering material for reports.
• Support the creation of digital content for the company’s online platforms.
• Contribute to on‑air segments, including voice‑over work and studio presentations.
• Collaborate with senior journalists to ensure editorial standards and deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Minimum BAC+3 degree in journalism, communication, or a related field.
• Strong writing ability and solid general knowledge.
• Excellent oral communication and confidence on‑camera or in voice‑over situations.
• Curiosity, rigor, and a willingness to work in the field.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
