People Partner – Support

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a People Partner to support its fast‑growing call‑center team in Senegal. You will act as the HR liaison for the Support department, ensuring that people processes align with business objectives and that employees feel engaged and empowered.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Support department to design and execute an HR strategy that matches the team’s OKRs.
• Identify talent gaps, recommend re‑assignments, and support change‑management initiatives.
• Drive organisational effectiveness through structure redesign, employee engagement, and retention programs.
• Oversee performance‑management workflows, including regular feedback, 1:1s, coaching, OKR tracking, evaluations and PIP follow‑up.
• Audit employee sick‑time records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Manage benefit and health review updates, tenure changes, and employee‑level data in HR systems.
• Coordinate work‑accommodation requests and liaise with medical professionals as needed.
• Prepare and deliver explanation letters for employees when required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to audit data and drive process improvements.
• Experience supporting call‑center or high‑volume support teams is a plus.
