Product Relations Manager

About the role

Wave is building the first cashless continent in Africa. As a Product Relations Manager you will own the product and technical side of external partner integrations, acting as the bridge between partners and our product and engineering teams to deliver seamless financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage partner relationships end‑to‑end, from scoping through development, testing and production launch.
• Evaluate prospective partners’ technical readiness and issue go/no‑go recommendations before contracts are signed.
• Lead technical scoping with partners and translate requirements into clear specifications for engineering.
• Hold partners accountable for delivery, escalating issues when progress stalls.
• Monitor integration health post‑launch and drive resolution of performance degradations.
• Identify opportunities to expand or deepen existing partnerships.
• Make data‑driven build‑vs‑buy and direct‑vs‑aggregator decisions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support and Partner Operations.
• Use transaction data and operational metrics to prioritize work and inform decisions.
• Contribute to standardising integration processes and playbooks across markets.

Required profile

• Strong experience managing partner integrations in a fast‑growing fintech or technology environment.
• Ability to evaluate technical readiness and translate business needs into engineering specifications.
• Proven track record of driving projects to completion while managing multiple stakeholders.
• Comfort working onsite in Senegal and travelling to partner offices across markets.
• Data‑oriented mindset with ability to use metrics for prioritisation.
