Product Relations Manager

About the role

Wave is looking for a Product Relations Manager to own the product and technical side of external partner integrations. You will act as the bridge between partners and Wave’s engineering teams, ensuring integrations are scoped, built, tested, launched and maintained successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Build and drive end‑to‑end partner integrations from scoping through production launch, removing blockers until delivery.
• Evaluate prospective partners’ technical readiness and issue clear go/no‑go recommendations before contracts are signed.
• Lead technical scoping sessions, translating partner requirements into engineering specifications.
• Hold partners accountable for delivery timelines and escalate issues when progress stalls.
• Monitor integration health post‑launch, using transaction data to resolve performance degradations.
• Identify opportunities to deepen existing partnerships and make build‑vs‑buy decisions based on data and strategic context.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in product management, technical partnerships or integration management within fintech, mobile money, digital payments or telecommunications.
• Strong technical fluency with APIs, VPN setups and timeout configurations, and the ability to discuss details with engineers and partner technical teams.
• Commercial awareness of how integrations drive transaction volume, revenue and user value.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi‑stakeholder integrations involving banks, telcos, utilities or government agencies.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in both French and English.
