About the role
The Programme Associate supports the Women’s Economic Empowerment Unit in Dakar, assisting the programme team with research, financial management and implementation of UN Women’s initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for programme work plans, budgets, proposals and audit information.
- Manage financial processes in the Quantum system, including project creation, budget revisions, requisitions and expense tracking.
- Coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, missions and travel for the programme team.
- Prepare public information materials, briefing packets and presentations for high‑level officials.
- Support resource mobilisation by drafting cost‑sharing agreements and processing donor information.
Required profile
- Minimum secondary education; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration is an asset.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in finance or programme management.
- Fluency in French; knowledge of English or Spanish is desirable.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Quantum ERP system (or similar web‑based ERP).
- Experience using Oracle Cloud or comparable cloud‑based financial platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for budgeting and reporting.
- Strong financial reporting and budget preparation abilities.
- Data management and document control expertise.
