Project Manager – Clean Cooking Programme (Senegal)

About the role

Mercy Corps is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Regional Clean Cooking Action West Africa (ReCCAWA) programme in Senegal. The role is based in Dakar and will oversee a multi‑year, donor‑funded initiative aimed at scaling clean, affordable cooking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and translate programme objectives into annual work plans, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and Mercy Corps priorities.
• Manage the full project cycle, monitor budgets, timelines and performance indicators, and lead regular coordination meetings with consortium partners and national stakeholders.
• Oversee technical components such as the National Clean Cooking Task Force, SENACCA establishment, and business development support for clean‑cooking enterprises.
• Maintain primary communication with the donor (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) and coordinate with regional ReCCAWA partners to ensure coherence between national and regional activities.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English.
• Master’s degree (Bac +5) and proven experience managing large development programmes.
• Eligibility: Senegalese national or resident with independent right to work in Senegal.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government ministries, financial institutions, and private‑sector partners.
