Project Manager – Relocation & Change Management (6 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead the relocation of its UNHMU operations to Diamniadio and to oversee change management, staff engagement and logistics coordination. This six‑month temporary assignment will provide strategic oversight and surge capacity to ensure a smooth transition and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and finalize the UNHMU PBR package, including affordability analysis, job descriptions and organizational charts.
• Design and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan to achieve full staffing.
• Create and manage the Master Relocation & Handover Workplan, risk register and seating plans.
• Implement de‑commissioning of current premises ahead of lease expiry and establish business continuity protocols.
• Lead the Change Management Task Force, set up a staff inquiry system with SLA response times, and deliver staff support workshops.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Operations Management, Change Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, large‑scale organizational change, facility relocation or complex operational transformations within international organizations.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder projects and deliver results in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
