Regional Finance Manager

About the role

The Regional Finance Manager for West Africa will oversee financial management, reporting and internal controls for all Millennium Villages Project (MVP) programmes in the region. Based in the Regional Office in Dakar, the role reports to the Regional Operations Manager and has a dotted‑line relationship with the Director of Finance in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books and records for the Regional Office and supervise site‑level record‑keeping.
• Coordinate with MVP sites to prepare annual site‑level and regional budgets.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for the Regional Director and headquarters, including trial balances, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements.
• Monitor bank accounts and ensure proper protection and utilization of Millennium Promise assets.
• Provide financial analytics at both regional and site levels to support operational decisions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial management, reporting and internal control systems.
• Ability to coordinate budgets and produce consolidated financial statements.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dakar, Senegal and collaborate with teams across West Africa.
