Resources Acquisition & Management Director

About the role

World Vision Senegal is seeking a senior leader to head its resource acquisition and fundraising portfolio. The Director will provide strategic leadership, develop and implement the national resource acquisition strategy, and ensure alignment with the organization’s mission to improve child well‑being. This role reports to the National Director and works closely with senior leadership across programme, finance, communications and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, execution and periodic review of the Resource Acquisition Strategy, setting annual targets and performance indicators.
• Identify and diversify funding sources, reducing reliance on single donors and expanding sustainable institutional income.
• Engage strategically with bilateral, multilateral, UN agencies, foundations, corporations and other institutional partners to position World Vision Senegal as a preferred partner.
• Oversee a dynamic pipeline of funding opportunities, including pre‑positioning, consortium building and proposal development.
• Direct multidisciplinary proposal teams to produce high‑quality, evidence‑based submissions that align with donor priorities.
• Provide strategic intelligence on funding trends, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
