Risk Specialist (P-3) – 6‑month temporary appointment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Risk Specialist (P‑3) for a six‑month temporary appointment in Dakar. The role supports the coordination of assurance activities and delivers integrated performance and risk analyses to inform senior management decisions and strengthen organizational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate assurance activities across programmatic and operational teams.
• Conduct performance and risk analyses, develop dashboards and scorecards.
• Prepare and present management reports and provide decision‑support to senior leadership.
• Strengthen capacity of staff in risk management and assurance processes.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Audit, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, internal control, audit, performance management or organizational oversight.
• Proven experience coordinating assessments, reviews, audits or assurance activities and producing management reports.
• Experience in international development, humanitarian or UN contexts is desirable.
• Fluency in English and French.
