Sales Engineer – Mining

About the role

AES Group is expanding its footprint in West Africa and seeks a proactive Sales Engineer to grow its mining business in Senegal. You will act as the technical bridge between customers and our internationally recognised brands, delivering equipment, spare parts and services to leading mining operators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with mining customers across Senegal.
• Identify new business opportunities and convert them into long‑term partnerships.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present them to clients.
• Promote aftermarket products, equipment and service solutions.
• Conduct customer visits and technical presentations.
• Collaborate closely with regional technical and sales teams.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and follow projects through to completion.
• Achieve sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in mining, industrial equipment or heavy industry.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical products and propose appropriate solutions.
• Autonomous, results‑oriented and willing to travel frequently.
• Fluent French and professional English are mandatory.
• Experience in the mining sector is a strong advantage.
