Senior Gameplay Programmer

About the role

Sandbox VR is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to drive the creation of immersive, multiplayer VR experiences. You will work closely with designers and artists to turn concepts into high‑quality, performant gameplay that engages players worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement game mechanics and AI for 6‑person multiplayer sessions.
• Push the limits of Unity to deliver top‑tier VR quality, adopting new features and optimization techniques as appropriate.
• Design and build tools and processes that streamline development.
• Own key technical areas of each experience, ensuring robust architecture and algorithms.
• Rapidly prototype gameplay ideas while maintaining clean, reusable code.
• Collaborate with art and design teams to iterate on features.
• Diagnose and fix bugs in existing systems.
• Contribute ideas across the full production pipeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software or feature teams, with a clear leadership philosophy.
• At least 5 years of professional C# programming experience.
• Strong background in Unity game development, especially for VR and multiplayer.
