Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor (Part‑time/Full‑time)

About the role

Education World is recruiting on behalf of an external education provider for a temporary‑to‑permanent SEN Tutor position, available on both part‑time and full‑time bases. A recognised teaching qualification is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for a class or group of learners as directed by the management team.
• Plan and deliver lessons following the programme of study outlined in the accredited award scheme.
• Prepare, monitor and evaluate personal progression plans / Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
• Support students' social and emotional well‑being, liaise with external agencies and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
• Administer prescribed medication and provide personal care, including assistance during meals, where required.
• Write and update behaviour management plans and apply approved behaviour management techniques.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching, training or education qualification (e.g., AET, CET, DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent).
• Experience delivering engaging learning opportunities to young people or adults.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
