About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to lead and coordinate supply chain activities that support its migration‑related programmes across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Reporting to the Resources Management Officer and working closely with the Chief of Mission, regional offices and country offices, the officer will ensure the timely, efficient and cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, procurement, logistics and inventory management processes for programme operations.
- Coordinate with programme units, implementing country offices and the IOM Supply Chain Division at headquarters.
- Monitor compliance with IOM procurement policies, contractual obligations and donor requirements.
- Oversee contract negotiations, vendor performance and delivery schedules.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, costs and risk mitigation.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics, preferably in a humanitarian or UN context.
- Strong understanding of international procurement regulations and donor compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across regions.
