Tax Intern

About the role

The Tax Intern will assist the tax team in delivering accurate tax reporting, planning and compliance for SLB’s operations in Senegal. Working under the supervision of the Tax Manager, the intern will gain hands‑on experience in corporate and indirect tax processes while supporting audit and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax compliance reviews (CIT, WHT, VAT, PIT, etc.).
• Assist with external audits and internal reporting.
• Help with cash repatriation and tax credit projects.
• Assist the Tax Manager on ad‑hoc projects.
• Prepare, review and file corporate and indirect tax returns.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and automation.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Recent graduate (no more than 2 years post‑graduation).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Quick learner able to translate knowledge into practical solutions.
• Basic understanding of tax regulations, audits and compliance procedures.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, read).
