Vendor Operations Associate

About the role

The Vendor Operations Associate will support vendor operations across procurement, fulfilment, warehousing, logistics, warranty and technical support within the assigned market in Senegal. The focus is on maintaining reliable vendor coverage, managing day‑to‑day relationships and identifying opportunities to improve vendor capacity and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Map and identify priority vendors within the assigned market.
• Build and maintain a vendor acquisition pipeline.
• Qualify and onboard vendors using standard capability, commercial and risk checks.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and follow up on performance.
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed expectations and support SLA compliance.
• Coordinate fulfilment issues, exceptions and escalations.
• Support vendor migration into the Vendor Portal.
• Identify vendor coverage gaps and potential backup options.
• Prepare regular vendor and market reports.
• Work with internal teams to resolve recurring vendor and operational issues.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, supply chain or operations.
• Experience working with vendors, suppliers or service providers in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, organization and stakeholder management skills.
• Good communication and follow‑through.
• Fluent French and strong English communication for Senegal.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and operational data independently.
