Video Editor & Content Distribution Intern

About the role

Digital Finance Afrika (DFA) is seeking a motivated Video Editor & Content Distribution Intern to support the production and publishing of fintech‑focused video content across multiple platforms. The intern will work closely with the DFA host and graphic designer to ensure high‑quality, engaging videos that align with the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Edit weekly DFA news episodes for YouTube and podcast episodes, adding graphics, transitions, titles, and subtitles.
• Create short‑form clips from long‑form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and LinkedIn, including captions and platform‑specific formatting.
• Upload and publish content on all DFA channels, write and schedule video descriptions, add chapters, tags, and thumbnails.
• Organise video files and media assets, maintain the content calendar, and track performance metrics.
• Collaborate with the host and graphic designer to ensure consistent branding and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Experience editing videos with tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
• Strong familiarity with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Ability to spot viral moments, strong attention to detail and meet deadlines consistently.
• Proficient written English and/or French.
