Driver – Safe Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance

About the role

The Driver is responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of authorized personnel, as well as occasional cargo or hazardous goods. The role also includes routine vehicle maintenance, minor repairs, and administrative support for office facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely transport for personnel and, when required, cargo or hazardous items.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and other items as needed.
• Meet and assist personnel at airports, facilitating immigration and customs formalities.
• Maintain accurate daily vehicle logs and support maintenance planning.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires) and keep vehicles road‑worthy.
• Carry out minor repairs and coordinate major repairs.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and all required documents and supplies are available.
• Respond promptly to accidents in line with organisational procedures.
• Assist with procurement of office supplies, inventory management, and minor facility repairs.
• Support maintenance of office equipment and respond to service requests.

Required profile

• Secondary school (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant driving experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with no experience required.
• Professionalism, courtesy and discretion when interacting with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Valid driver’s licence and driver’s training as required by the organization.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural or humanitarian environments is an advantage.
