About the role
The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of agricultural machinery sales in Senegal and other assigned African markets. You will identify new opportunities, build dealer and distributor networks, and ensure strong market penetration while supporting after‑sales service and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across Senegal and other African territories.
- Develop and execute market entry strategies, expanding dealer and distributor networks.
- Conduct competitive market research, pricing analysis, and regulatory assessments.
- Drive institutional sales with governments, NGOs, and corporate clients.
- Achieve sales targets for agricultural machinery products and manage distributor performance.
- Negotiate contracts, maintain customer relationships, and ensure timely receivable collection.
- Oversee after‑sales service, spare‑parts support, and handle customer complaints.
- Organise product demonstrations, promotional campaigns, trade fairs, and market activation programs.
- Prepare regular sales and market performance reports and share insights with management.
- Train dealer teams and support capability development of local partners.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) or equivalent; BBA/MBA in Marketing preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, agribusiness, or international business development.
- At least 2 years of experience working in African markets.
- Proven track record in dealer/distributor development, institutional sales, and market expansion.
