Carbon Project Manager

About the role

The Carbon Project Manager will lead the coordination of Article 6.2 carbon projects in Senegal, overseeing the full project lifecycle from inception to carbon credit issuance. This role acts as the central hub linking field teams, technical experts, auditors, government stakeholders, and local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all project milestones, including final verification reports, field logistics, and submission trackers.
• Maintain quality assurance processes, manage quarterly monitoring cycles, and ensure compliance with internal controls and bilateral programme requirements.
• Lead stakeholder consultations, prepare budgets, and facilitate communication between French‑speaking communities and English‑speaking technical teams.
• Manage audit logistics, accompany auditors, and ensure audit readiness throughout certification cycles.
• Oversee data collection activities, design survey logistics, and supervise enumerators using tools such as ODK, KoboToolbox, or SurveyCTO.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mobile data collection platforms (ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO).
• Strong knowledge of carbon certification standards and MRV processes.
• Fluency in French and ability to work with local languages.
