HR Officer

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an HR Officer to support its Country Office in Senegal. The role contributes to IOM’s mission of promoting humane and orderly migration by ensuring effective human‑resources management across the office and its sub‑offices.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all HR functions of the Country Office, including recruitment, staff administration, and performance management.
• Provide technical HR guidance and support to sub‑offices and to other Country Offices within the assigned Area of Responsibility.
• Collaborate closely with the Regional Office, Department of Human Resources, and Administrative Centres to ensure compliance with IOM policies and UN standards.
• Assist the Chief of Mission or Head of Office and the Human Resources Officer in implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting and analysis activities.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating HR activities within an international or UN‑related organization.
• Familiarity with HR policies, recruitment processes, and staff administration.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior HR managers and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
