Management and Maintenance Manager (Mining)

About the role

The Management and Maintenance Manager will lead the equipment and vehicle fleet for a mining operation, ensuring optimal acquisition, maintenance, and disposal. This role oversees driver and operator teams, providing selection, training, and performance management to support safe and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Define equipment acquisition needs and manage procurement, maintenance, and scrapping processes.
• Supervise drivers and operators, handling recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all plant areas.
• Allocate resources, monitor maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Prepare and deliver regular management reports on maintenance performance and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing and maintaining equipment in public works, quarries, or mining environments.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Fluency in French and Portuguese.
• Strong planning, organization, and leadership capabilities.
