Paramedic Specialist – Medical Clinic Support

About the role

The Paramedic Specialist provides frontline healthcare services at the SMGO site medical clinic, ensuring quality medical care for all personnel and visitors. The role supports the Occupational Health Physician in emergency situations, medical evacuations, and the overall site health program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary healthcare and emergency medical rescue response for employees, contractors, consultants, and visitors.
• Maintain infection prevention and control policies and practices within the clinic.
• Identify and notify high‑risk diseases and coordinate appropriate medical actions.
• Support expatriate staff by monitoring insurance coverage and arranging medical evacuations when required.
• Ensure all invasive medical equipment is sterilized, clean, and ready for use.
• Manage clinic stock, medication supplies, and ambulance equipment, reporting levels to the Occupational Health Physician.
• Perform end‑of‑month reporting, occupational health examinations for newcomers, and assist with annual medical visits.
• Assist supervisors in meeting HSE responsibilities, safety training, incident follow‑up, and compliance with safety KPIs.

Required profile

• Experience supporting an Occupational Health Physician in a site‑based medical clinic.
• Proven ability to respond to emergency medical situations and coordinate evacuations.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.
• Familiarity with medical equipment maintenance, stock management, and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, safety representatives, and health & safety teams.
