Short-Term Consultant - MEL Analyst - West Africa Region

About the role

Q2IMPACT is seeking a short‑term consultant to serve as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Analyst for an infrastructure evaluation across several West African countries. The analyst will lead primary data collection activities, including key informant interviews and focus group discussions, and work closely with the evaluation team to produce actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions in Mauritania, Togo, Senegal, Gabon, and Guinea.
• Collect, manage, and validate primary data for the evaluation.
• Collaborate with the evaluation team to design data collection tools and contribute to analysis.
• Prepare qualitative analysis reports and support the synthesis of findings.
• Travel to multiple field sites as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, statistics, research methods, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or data management.
• Strong knowledge of MEL principles and qualitative research methods.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is a plus.
• Willingness to travel throughout the West Africa region.
