Ad‑hoc Bid Writer – Contract Position

About the role

Global Rights Compliance (GRC) is seeking a pre‑qualified pool of experienced Bid Writers to provide additional proposal‑drafting capacity on an ad‑hoc basis. You will work closely with the Partnerships & Development (P&D) team to develop high‑quality, donor‑compliant funding applications, concept notes, expressions of interest, proposals and tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Review funding opportunities, Notices of Funding Opportunity, calls for proposals, terms of reference and tender documentation to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria and compliance obligations.
• Support the designated P&D Lead in preparing proposal outlines, compliance matrices and other assignment‑specific development tools.
• Draft and edit narrative components of proposals, ensuring consistency, clarity and alignment with donor expectations.
• Integrate technical inputs from subject‑matter experts and partners into a cohesive proposal.
• Conduct quality and compliance reviews to guarantee donor‑specific standards are met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in writing and editing donor‑funded proposals, concept notes or tenders.
• Ability to interpret donor requirements and translate them into clear, compelling narrative.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to ensure compliance with complex solicitation documents.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work under the direction of the P&D team and coordinate with technical leads.
