Deputy Process Manager

About the role

The Deputy Process Manager supports the Processing Manager in overseeing the Sulphide Treatment Plant (STP) and Whole Ore Leach (WOL) operations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production while coordinating process, metallurgy, and technical services.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in setting priorities, allocating resources, and managing human, financial, and operational assets.
• Provide technical direction to metallurgical and operational teams to maximise efficiency.
• Develop and monitor annual operating and capital budgets, controlling costs through effective plant‑wide solutions.
• Design and implement performance measurement systems for mill and laboratory operations.
• Lead plant optimisation initiatives and support growth of processing activities.
• Implement and review Group HSE policies, procedures, and safety culture across the site.
• Create training systems for plant and laboratory staff to maintain high technical competence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in process plant or metallurgical operations, preferably in a supervisory or deputy role.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in industrial settings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and allocate resources effectively.
• Leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to convey priorities and safety expectations at all organisational levels.
